design your merch

Designing Your Merch

Band merch is a great way to show your support for your favorite band. There are many different ways to design your band merch, and it can be tough to decide what to do. Here are some band merch design ideas to get you started:

Design a band logo: This is a great way to show your support for your favorite band. If you have bandmates, make sure to involve them in the process so everyone is on the same page.

Create exclusive band merch: If you’re going to be playing at a battle of the bands competition, why not create some exclusive merch for it? This will help you stand out from the rest of the competition. Include the venue and date on the back to make it feel more commemorative.

Be Original: With so much band merch out there, you want whatever you’re selling to be original. This will help you attract more fans and supporters.

promote your merch

Start Promoting

Your band merch is one of the most important ways that you can connect with your fans and promote your brand. Make sure to post about your merch regularly, and share photos and videos of you wearing it or using it in creative ways. Tag Spreadshop and other bands in your posts to help reach a wider audience.

Always provide your fans with all the ways they can connect with you, including your merch shop. Link your Spotify, social media, Patreon, and anything else you’ve got going on. By doing this, you’ll create a stronger connection with your fans and promote your band more effectively. Link in bio tools are the most effective wat to engage with your audience.

But people also want to see what the merch looks like in real life. This creates the perfect opportunity to get some professional photos of your band if you don’t have any yet. Wear your merch and take full band shots and solo band member shots that you can use on your site in an About Us section, for example, and for other social media use.

These photos would even be great to submit as promo to future festivals or events you’re working with. Spreadshop would happily share these images and give people the chance to learn more about your music. Plus, it’s another way for us to promote our own event.

Set Up a Merch Table

To make sure your merch table is successful, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, you’ll need to have a good selection of products available. This means having different sizes, colors, and styles of merch so that there’s something for everyone!

You should also make sure your prices are fair. You don’t want to overcharge your fans, but you also need to make enough money to cover the cost of your merchandise. A good rule of thumb is to price your items double what they cost you to produce. Finally, don’t forget to promote your merch table from the stage! Make sure your fans know where it is and what kinds of products you’re selling. You can do this by announcing it during your set or posting about in on your socials.

Selling band merch is a great way to connect with your fans and make some extra money. Follow these tips and you’ll be sure to have a successful merch table at your next show!

Not sure about the rule of thumb – A good rule of thumb is to price your items double what they cost you to produce. The cost is lower if you have a spreadshop.
