You’ve been asking for an easier verification of your Shop on Facebook, Google and Pinterest for a while. And it’s happening! We’ve optimized the structure of your Spreadshop domain and made it future-proof. You can now sell and advertise products even more effectively on your social networks.
Why does my Shop need a new domain structure?
With the old domain structure, the URL for your Shop looked like this:
shop.spreadshirt.xyz/SHOPNAME
For the past few weeks, social networks like Facebook and Pinterest allowed only subdomain structures to be embedded on their platforms. We’ve fixed this for you by fronting your shop name so it will become a subdomain. You can use the link as follows:
SHOPNAME.myspreadshop.xyz
The same principle also applies to your checkout area. The URL now looks like this:
SHOPNAME.myspreadshop.xyz/checkout
The benefits for you and your customers are massive, and you will enjoy this change for years to come!
Why social commerce is a no-brainer
The changeover to the new domain structure ensures that you can continue to sell Spreadshop products via Google, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest in the future. The verification process has been standardized and made more secure. Social commerce is now easy! You can just upload your product feed, advertise, and sell your products. Let’s go!
How can I get started?
In the transition phase, both the old and the new URL for your Shop will work alongside one another. If someone tries to use the old URL, they will be redirected accordingly.
You can already start adjusting all links to your Shop, everywhere you use them. Here are a few examples:
- In your social media bios (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Soundcloud, etc.)
- In all future social media posts
- On your flyers, websites, email signatures, etc..
- The links that integrate your Shop with your website
You can find more information on how to verify your Shop directly on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest or via the Google Merchant Center. After that, it’s best to start creating new social and Google Ads right away to boost sales in your Shop.
If you have any questions or comments about the new Spreadshop domain, please leave us a comment.
I used the plugin to integrate Spreadshop into my WordPress site.
Users are asking me if there’s a way to reduce the size of the fonts and pictures.

to integrate your shops is impossible / java/html code to add to a website is also impossible becauce Spreadshirt doesn’t allow you to add the HTML tags to your pages.
As long as your address is not verified, your credit cannot be paid out says in the article of User account
Hi you are wrong
How long is this transition phase? Do I have to change my Bit.ly link associated with the old domain name?

Very well.
For several years, I’ve been promoting my shop as [username].spreadshirt.com. I’ve used this in almost 1000 videos. Now, that address no longer works.
Please read the article.

Hi thank u for information
hello spread shop team how are you . thank you for co operation for more information . thank you

Yes,you have change my domain?
One of my shops changed, the other didn’t. Why?
You aren’t one of the fb partners nor does your site allow for the FB pixel thing that is required. So essentially you cannot actually integrate these shops to our social media…
I’m not able to connect to my facebook page at all (with the new or old url). There is no option to integrate to social media and only a java/html code to add to a website. Is there an easier way to integrate my shop with m social media?

Hi! I like the new URL, however, I can not seem to get Facebook to verify it 🙁 I have to post Facebook’s meta tag into the shop’s HTML.
Facebook says:
“Paste the meta-tag into the <head> … <head> section of the website’s home page HTML source, and publish the page. Note: Verification will fail if the meta-tag code is outside of the <head> section or in a section loaded dynamically by JavaScript.”
I tried putting it into the HTML Header and Footer and CSS sections of my shop but it didn’t work. I need Facebook to verify my shop so I can sell directly from my Instagram pics. Am I out of luck?
This worked for me with Pinterest, give it try:
1) Go to Shop Settings>Marketing>Facebook & Instagram
2) Where it says ‘Meta tag’, paste in only the numbers from your tag.
Eg.
facebook-domain-verification=6d40e2vb9340v922ffudareu5k940i(remember to apply changes)
3) Follow the steps in video here to verify: Domain Verification – Sharing (facebook.com)
Hope it helps 🙂
Wow! This worked!! Thank you so much! Spreadshop should mention in their email where to put the Facebook meta tag 😀 That is all I needed to know. Thanks again!
That’s awesome! I was so excited when it worked for me too, happy marketing 🙂
Thank you and great for this subdomain! unfortunately this domain is not working with some error reads 500 . Please fix it as soon as possible.

New look my shop proudce my all shop lounching helpful
Hi everyone, Spreadshirt is very low selling and uploading work here is very cumbersome. So do not want to upload the design to the spreadsheet!
I think Spreadshirt needs to be more focused.
https://www.spreadshirt.com/shop/user/hamiltonmagic/ was the old shop and is STILL the only one that comes up for me … I’m on the marketplace, is this going to change soon?
Unfortunately it does not work on facebook verification and neither does the feed, and on Google search the verification does not go well.
It’s not working! Please review. I agree with all the bellow comments! I tried everything…
Its not working i have some issues on texes what i do there is no one.
It is not working. Would be easier if it got changed automatically
Now that we have a second-level domain name, why not let us directly bind our own domain name, which is more conducive to expanding our own brand.
The issue I am coming accross is IG and FB wont approve me for shopping. Example: I cant use the spreadshop link to the product.
The old, old (future-proof) structure was
shopname.spreadshirt.xyz….
Then it switched to
shop.spreadshirt.xyz/SHOPNAME
Now it is getting changed to (future-proof)
SHOPNAME.myspreadshop.xyz
It would have been much nicer to skip that intermediate stage…. but o well. Good help is hard to find I guess.
If we keep alternating back and forth every year or so, everyone can keep their jobs, and we can all have guaranteed work FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!! YASSSSSSS
My personal hope is that this future-proofing remains in place, so I don’t have to keep modifying links.

You also can’t verify on Google Search Console, as Spreadshirt doesn’t allow us to add the HTML tags to our pages. It needs to go in the body before the . We don’t have that capability.
Facebook won’t allow subdomains. Just tried it
Great

how to promote our design
Google Search Console doesn’t accept url submissions saying that robots.txt blocks them. I’m trying submitting url’s of single t-shirt models, as it always worked before, but now it doesn’t work any more.
There are problems with the given link of product feed for Facebook i have to add my user name before the domain like with the last.
This is great news. Thanks a lot.
look fashion
